The Code of Practice for the operation of commercial Boarding Establishments was developed by the Animal Welfare Advisory Committee of the Department for Environment.  The Standards apply to all places where commercial boarding of cats and dogs is carried out, including boarding within veterinary practices. 

The Code of Practice is accepted as the minimum standards for boarding establishments.
